Uganda: Home Burned, Two Christians Injured in Separate Attacks
Islamist burned down a house where a cell fellowship was meeting in eastern Uganda, a week after Muslims in another area caned two converts, sources said.
Arafah Senyange, 28, and his brother Zulufa Hajati Nakimuli, 43, were beaten with cane on Nov. 13 in Busembatia town, Bugweri District (formerly in Iganga District) for converting from Islam to Christianity in October, Nakimuli said.
Uganda: Pastors Wounded in Separate Attacks
Islamist in eastern Uganda seriously wounded a pastor and his wife in an attack on a meeting at their church on Nov. 18, he said.
The knife attack during an evening service of Believers’ Church in Nansonko village, Kibuku District came in response to an evangelistic event in August where five young Muslim men, ages 19 to 27, put their faith in Christ, said the 56-year-old victim of the assault, Pastor Jude Sitaalo.

Nigeria: Islamist Kill More than 70 Christians
In just two days, over 70 Christians were killed by Islamist militiamen in the Gbeji community local government area, said Terumbur Kartyo, chairman of the Ukum Local Government Council in Benue, state. Kartyo added that in Guma Local Government Area, Islamist last week shot and injured more than 100 Christians in Udei and Yelewata villages, displacing thousands. State officials declare they do not have the means to protect citizens.
Nigeria: Islamist Kill Mother and Daughter at Church Service
On Sunday, October 16, two gunmen attacked a church in northern Nigeria’s Kogi state during a worship service. The two gun-wielding assailants rode up to Celestial Church on motorcycles.
According to Jerry Omodara, Kogi state’s top security official, they fatally shot a woman and her young daughter and injured an unknown number of congregants.
Iran: Christians Punished with Harsh Prison Sentences
When authorities in Iran summoned a Christian couple in Tehran on Aug. 13, the house-church members supposed it concerned the return of their confiscated belongings.
Instead, Homayoun Zhaveh and his wife Sara Ahmadi were detained in Tehran’s Evin Prison, notorious for its harsh treatment of people deemed political enemies of the state, rights organizations say.
DRC: Twenty Christians Dead Including an Anglican Evangelist
Twenty Congolese Christians were killed and several others kidnapped after the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) struck the village of Kainama, Beni territory in Nord Kivu on the night of October 4th. The bishop of the Beni Anglican Diocese confirmed the attack, terming it “a devastating occurrence that continues to bleed off hope that the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) has been praying for.”
