Uganda: Evangelist Killed in His Home After Open-air Event
On July 29 evangelist Sozi Odongo was killed by Muslims in his home after he held open-air events in eastern Uganda. He was killed while his wife and four children hid in another room. Odongo was 45 years old.
Nigeria: Islamists Kill Seven Christians Including Four Children
On Sunday, July 31, Islamists killed seven Christians, including four children, in an attack in Plateau state, Nigeria. This follows This follows a similar attack in Plateau state on July 21 in which they killed five Christians and months of violence in neighboring Taraba state.
Nigeria: Dozens of Christians Kidnapped
On July 25, Islamists kidnapped 36 people from a predominantly Christian village outside the city of Kaduna, in northern Nigeria. The house-to-house abductions came after the kidnapping of 16 people from a nearby area in Kaduna state’s Chikun County on June 28.
Vietnam: Authorities Increase Persecution of Hmong Christians
In the central Vietnam Nghe An Province province, officials are creating “Christian-free zones” by pressuring the Christian relatives who animist to drive Christians from their homes, exiling them from family, livelihood and community with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Some Christians have been forcibly separated from spouse and children, home and fields, sometimes even their wedding rings, if they persist in their faith. Then officials wash their hands and say these outrages are purely family matters.
Myanmar: Church and Homes Destroyed by Military Junta
On June 23, military junta soldiers burned Thantlang Baptist Church (TBC), located in the town of Thantlang in Myanmar’s majority-Christian Chin state. This is the military’s 30th attack the military on the village since October 2021. The military has burned eleven more churches and over 1,000 homes in Thantlang alone throughout its many attacks on the village.

Hopes for freedom of two Christian brothers on death row under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws were dashed this month when a court upheld their death sentence despite lack due process or evidence against them, their lawyers said.
Uganda: Father Kills Daughter on Day She Converts
28-year-old Hawa Amoti of Nansana, Wakiso District went to church with her neighbor and put her faith in Jesus after having a dream about of “Issa” (Jesus). She was killed later that day (May 29) when her father stabbed her in the eyes for leaving Islam, sources said.
India: Police Beat and Charge Pastor for Family Devotional
Pastor Pravesh Kumar of Amamahua, Uttar Pradesh state was visiting a sick uncle at his grandmother’s house when police arrested him after a Hindu neighbor videotaped them singing during a family devotional. The police arrested him, tied him to a tree and beat him.
